The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device. If you allow location access on the centers map, it is used within that session only to sort centers by distance and is not stored on our servers.
For a better experience, while using the Application, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. When you sign in we collect your email address or +977 mobile number and the one-time verification code; if you continue with Google we receive the name, email address and profile photo on that account. When you request an upgrade from Guest to Visitor we collect your devotee details — full name, date, time and place of birth, address and home branch. The information we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy. You may browse the Application as a guest without providing any of it.
As you use the Application we also record the information you create in it: your sadhana entries (japa rounds, sadhana score, aarti and class attendance, sleeping, waking and chanting times, streaks), your journal, your reading and lecture progress, saved quotes, course enrolments and certificates, event, yatra, prasad and seva registrations and the tickets issued to you, applications you submit, photos you post to Moments, and your donation records (amount, cause, date, transaction reference and the details needed to issue your receipt). Card, wallet and banking credentials are handled by the payment provider and are never stored by us.
Information about your religious practice, your birth details and your photographs is treated as sensitive and is processed only with your consent. Your journal is private and is not read by any staff member, volunteer or mentor. Your sadhana chart is visible to a mentor only after you choose to share it, and you may stop sharing at any time. Birth details are used for temple records and calendar reminders only, never for prediction, ranking or commercial purposes.
We may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information about the Application, required notices, and devotional announcements such as aarti alerts, Ekadasi reminders, application status updates, mentor feedback and ticket confirmations. We do not use your information for advertising and we never sell it. You may turn any notification group off in the Application or in your device settings.
Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid us in improving the Application and our service. We may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

Within ISKCON Nepal, your registrations and applications are visible to the administrator of the branch you selected, limited to the fields needed to validate the request. Photos and captions you post to Moments become visible to other signed-in users after moderation; no other information about you is shown to other users.
We may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information:
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may also, without uninstalling, turn off sadhana tracking, stop sharing your chart with a mentor, mute any notification group, or switch off analytics in Settings — the rest of the Application continues to work.
We will retain user-provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Donation and receipt records are retained for the period required by Nepali tax, audit and charitable-reporting law; event and ticket records are retained for 24 months after the event; crash and technical logs for up to 12 months; one-time codes for minutes only.
If you would like us to delete user-provided data that you have provided via the Application, please contact us at privacy@iskconnepal.org and we will respond within 15 days.
You may view your own records in Profile and My Journey, ask us to correct a verified field, request a portable copy of your data, delete individual entries or your whole account, and withdraw a consent you have given. Deleting your account removes your profile, sadhana, journal, saved content, bookings and application history; records we are required by law to keep, and anonymised counts that cannot identify you, are retained. These rights are provided in line with the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018) of Nepal.
We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately delete it from our servers.
If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@iskconnepal.org. A devotee under 18 should use the Application with the consent of a parent or guardian. Kids-program registrations are made by a parent or guardian and are deleted 12 months after the program ends.
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process and maintain: traffic is encrypted in transit, stored data is access-controlled, staff and branch administrators receive only the access their role requires, and that access is logged.
Because sign-in is password-free there is no password of yours to be stolen, but you should protect access to your email account, mobile number and device lock. If a breach affects your information we will notify you and the competent authority without undue delay.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.
